What this tool does

Clean copied or pasted text without changing its order, case, punctuation, visible Unicode, or emoji. The output updates live as you choose each cleanup rule.

Processing order

Requested line-ending normalization, invisible-character removal, and non-breaking-space replacement happen first. The cleaner then splits lines, applies edge whitespace rules, handles empty lines, normalizes horizontal spacing, reconstructs the text, and finally adds one LF only when requested.

Whitespace and empty lines

Trim removes spaces and tabs at line edges. Mixed-space normalization turns a run containing both spaces and tabs into one space; the separate collapse rules affect repeated runs of just spaces or just tabs. A whitespace-only line counts as empty for the empty-line controls.

Privacy

Your text stays entirely in your browser.

How to use

  1. Paste or type text into the input editor.
  2. Choose the independent cleanup rules you need.
  3. Review the live output, then copy, download, or reuse it as input.

Unicode and emoji

The zero-width option removes common invisible format characters, but keeps the zero-width joiner so emoji sequences such as family emoji remain intact. It does not change visible Unicode characters.

Frequently asked questions

Will this reorder or rewrite my text?

No. It never reorders lines or changes case or punctuation; it only applies the cleanup rules you select.

What wins when remove and collapse empty lines are both selected?

Remove empty lines takes precedence, so every empty or whitespace-only line is removed.

Practical guide

When to use it

Use it after copying text from PDFs, chat, spreadsheets, or web pages when hidden characters and irregular spacing need controlled cleanup.

Three steps

  1. Paste the original text so you can compare it with the result.
  2. Enable only the whitespace or invisible-character rules you need.
  3. Review the live output before copying it into the destination.

Example and a common mistake

Replace non-breaking spaces in copied product names while leaving punctuation and line order intact.

Cleaning whitespace can alter intentional alignment in plain-text tables, so inspect structured text before replacing it.
